in pvp, i sit there with a mortal strike warrior and watch them "take out the healer" while my bud murders them all. no other class can claim 100% resistance to disruption while casting. There is no class in the game that can cast flawlessly while taking damage. We arent losing cons, its just not a talented spell anymore. With spiritual attunement, we will be out-regening the mana cost of the spell as well. Rogues can barely manage to take it off of me in that cons, and holy shield is the tip up that prevents even that.
JUDGEMENT VS JUDGMENT PLUS
if you have the damage plus healing gear, you could be pumping 300 damage per second to all targets in that consecrate, and easily holding em on you with righteous fury. Consecration is one of the most amazing abilities I have ever seen.
JUDGEMENT VS JUDGMENT FULL
We are the only class that can guarantee full aggro, even against several mages, on an unlimited amount of targets. What we're really good at, is AoE tanking. I know, time and time again, a paladin cant par with a warrior in single target tanking. the burning crusade shows that clear and true. Though fact remains, paladins weren't designed for damage. there are things with physical mitigation, raid bosses and reg mobs, thats not a problem either. While max frost resistance can save you from a mage, theres nothing to protect from holy. Everything a paladin does, damage, tanking, and healing, is a single element, and there is no resistance for it at all. The reason for that is the type of damage we pump.

With the right gear and spec, a paladin can hold damage near and possibly past an arms warrior. The burning crusade is offering paladins a #$%^load of new tanking tools, damage improvements, and amazing healing improvements.

What no one has looked at though, is where we have advantages based on spec. But still, +60-66 damage, even if it's only on those judgements that cause damage in the first place, is way better than you think, trust me.Ĭomment by ThottbotPaladins are, as said several times, hybrids. I just have one question: does the damage bonus apply to ALL judgements (e.g: light, crusader, wisdom, etc.) or just those that do damage (righteousness and command)? If it adds damage to every judgement, in addition to the helpful debuffs, then it's even more uber than I thought. Hammer of wrath crits for 1.5k+.Granted, my mace is real nice, but the white damage from that doesn't come close to comparing to the holy damage I dish out, particularly in a duel. With only +100 or so damage, I've gotten judgement crits for well over 1k under the right circumstances.

This skill is very specific, but guarantees a large addition of damage to every single judgement (10 second cooldown or less with skill points). However, most of the gear you get is "up to" a certain amount of +dmg. (And for those of you who think just cuz I am holy I can't take a hit, I have Main Tanked Scarlet Strath in full, and Main Tanked and Main Healed on a Jandice run of Scholo b4 they nerfed it)Ĭomment by ThottbotIf you had a paladin at level 60 for any length of time, you would know that most of our big chunks of damage are holy and amassing a collection of +dmg/healing gear is the best way to make a toon who can heal his companions as well as dish out the punishment. Just remember that our roll is to be flexible and do what i needed of us, and in MC, BWL And Onyxia's Lair we aren't needed to do Damage, we are needed to keep everyone alive and well by healing and cleansing them. I do attack, but mainly to keep my mana up cuz I use SoW and BoW more than anything else.ĭon't get me wrong outside MC I use BoM and SoW (cuz i have Holy Shock that I spend chunks of mana on every 30 seconds so i need to keep my mana regening) and I do the best I can to deal dmg, but i also stay ready to take over healing when the Healer goes oom. If it is that you want to deal dmg and tank in MC like you might when you're outside MC then re-roll a warrior or Rogue cuz thats not what we are in MC for. So stop complaining about this set, there is a reason they set it up the way it is. That is why there are PVP reward sets, they are better for PVPing.

Comment by ThottbotIn 40 man instance we're not there to do dmg, we are there to Heal and Cleanse, therefore our Epic Set Instance Set has a lot of intel to help us do that better.
